Mindful Self‑Compassion: 8‑Week Live Online Course

An 8‑week live, online Mindful Self‑Compassion (MSC) course with Ashley and Paulina to help you soften your inner critic, respond to difficulty with kindness, and meet life’s challenges with greater steadiness and care.

MSC Live Online Course Details

  • Live weekly sessions on Zoom 
  • Tuesday evenings, 5:00–7:30 pm CT
  • June 23 – August 11 (8 weeks)
  • Optional Silent Retreat on July 25, 10-1pm CT

* Each student is encouraged to purchase their own copy of the MSC Workbook (available on Amazon and other retailers)

MSC Course Outline:

Session 1: Introduction to Mindful Self‑Compassion
Orient to the program, clarify what self‑compassion is (and isn’t), and explore how it supports well‑being.

Session 2: Practicing Mindfulness
Deepen present‑moment awareness, understand resistance and backdraft, and learn to anchor daily life in mindfulness and self‑compassion.

Session 3: Practicing Kindness
Differentiate kindness from compassion and cultivate a felt sense of both through loving‑kindness phrases and practice.

Session 4: Discovering Your Compassionate Voice
Develop a compassionate inner voice through loving‑kindness meditation, recognizing stages of growth, and shifting from criticism to encouragement.

Session 5: Living Deeply
Use breath and compassion practices to align with your core values, find meaning in difficulty, and listen to others with self‑compassion.

Silent Retreat (Optional)
Immerse in an integrated sequence of mindfulness and self‑compassion practices, savoring the experience within a silent retreat container.

Session 6: Meeting Difficult Emotions
Learn to meet difficult emotions with mindfulness and self‑compassion and relate to shame in a way that softens its impact.

Session 7: Exploring Challenging Relationships
Tend to unmet needs in relationships with self‑compassion and balance caregiving using compassion and equanimity.

Session 8: Embracing Your Life
Practice savoring, gratitude, and self‑appreciation while integrating key insights and commitments to carry forward after the course ends.
